Thumbprint Honeybees

Thumbprint honeybees are easy and giggle-worthy. With minimal mess, this is a great project to do with younger kids.

Ages 3-8

Materials:

Black construction paper
Yellow paint
White crayon
Popsicle stick

Directions:

  1. Dip a thumb into the yellow paint and press onto the construction paper. Repeat until you have reached the desired number of bees. (Also, you can experiment with all fingers to make bees of different sizes!)
  2. Before the paint dries, draw two lines through the bee using a popsicle stick.
  3. Draw on wings and antennae for each bee.
